This would be a lovely place to live, wouldn’t it? I’m certain those children would go away eventually.

Anyhoo, this is Wakehurst Place, the National Trust’s MOST visited place, and there is a reason. The reason is that it is extremely wonderful. The sixteenth century Elizabethan mansion (whose lovely interiors you may peruse) is surrounded by 465 acres of stunning woodland gardens with endless winding paths and the largest Christmas tree in England! A GIANT REDWOOD that looms 35 metres tall and is lit from Advent until Twelfth Night with 1,800 MAGICAL FAIRY LIGHTS EEEEEEEE I love a Christmas tree! If you enjoyed the cinematography of Kenneth Branagh’s film As You Like It you will be pleased to know it was filmed here.

Wakehurst is open every day of the year except Christmas/Christmas Eve, and kids are free. To find out what’s on, directions, etc click here (image grimbo87 flickr)

J.K. Rowling has revealed that Lily was pregnant with her second child, when Voldemort killed her. Even worse, she had finally talked James into making peace with Snape, and even wanted to make him the child’s godfather.

WHHHYY.

SOMETIMES I LOVE JO BUT THEN SOMETIMES I DON’T

Poor Snape. Almost becoming the Godfather to the kid of the woman you love is like…friend-zoned level 9999999999.

With all due respect to Mrs. Susan Bellamy-Loretan, Christopher Columbus did not discover America. Christopher Columbus invaded America. In reality, he never even set foot in America. Columbus landed in the Caribbean.

To Mr. Galen B. Wolf, I understand your frustration and anger over students from Manheim Township High School refusing to pledge allegiance to the United States. Believe me, as a Native American, and after 500 years, well, allegiance? Need I say more?

If anyone should be angry and saddened, it should be my people, the Native Americans, who have to face the fact that this country still celebrates the crimes of Columbus.

This is a man who introduced slavery to this continent. He introduced sickness. He’s a man who killed millions, but still America celebrates the crimes of a madman. Nice.

Those who speak of pledging allegiance to America must first follow the last words of the pledge &tstr; “… and justice for all.”

People of this country speak about other peoples’ citizenship or make fun of their language and nationalities. Well, with all due respect, the truth is, if you’re not a Native American Indian, you don’t belong here either.

And still to this day, no one has pledged allegiance to the first people of this country.

So, for those who want others to pledge allegiance to this country, start by pledging allegiance to the native people.

Stop celebrating Columbus Day and start celebrating Native American Day.
